I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994, with a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology. Following graduation, I moved to Florida, where I attended law school at Florida State University College of Law, where I received book awards in Family Law, and Children, Family, and the State. During law school, I met my husband, who also practices law in Jacksonville. Altogether, we have a family of six, and spend most free time dashing from one child's activity to another.
My primary focus of employment since law school has been as an Assistant Public Defender in Leon, Clay, and Duval Counties. I was named Attorney of the Year for Clay County in 2003, and Attorney of the Year for Duval County in 2007, for the Office of the Public Defender.
